Saba Khan

Saba Khan - a feast for the eyes both formally and conceptually. Living in the rapidly changing city of Lahore Saba’s work is a satire on the elite. She highlights the increasing social gap in a society where status is only determined by labels. 

 

Khan completed BFA from National College of Arts, 2005, with a Distinction and MFA from Boston University, 2010, on Fulbright Scholarship.

Khan has attended artists' residency programs in Italy (Civitella Ranieri Foundation, 2007), Jaisalmer, India (SEHER foundation, 2007); she won the UNESCO Aschberg Bursary award for Civitella Ranieri Foundation, Umbertide, Italy.

Her short film was screened at Monitor 4, SAVAC, Toronto, 2008 and Kara Film Festival, Karachi, 2007.
She participated in the International Art Festival, Kathmandu, Nepal, 2009. She was also the juror for UNESCO Aschberg Bursary, Civitella Ranieri Foundation for 2011 session.

Solo show include in Karachi (Canvas Gallery) and Lahore (Rohtas 2 and Drawing Room Gallery). Group shows include at Lawrie Shabibi Gallery, Dubai, Bangkok Art and Culture Center, Thailand.

She is currently teaching at National College of Arts as an Assistant Professor and lives in Lahore, Pakistan.
