The artist is a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the National College of Arts. From 2002 to 2011, she taught at the Pakistan Institute of Fashion Design and Kinnaird College.

Sadafs work speaks of the isolation of women even within the domestic space. Her work is intensely feminine and deals in a sympathetic way about themes such as purdah and loneliness.
